Carmen Tsang
Pianist/Soprano
Carmen Tsang graduated from the Hong Kong Baptist University. After her graduation, she pursued her career as accompanist in Hong Kong, namely Royal Academy of Dance (ballet), Opera Hong Kong and Les Chansons de la Flûte. She had won numerous awards in the Hong Kong Music Festival Piano competition. She is currently studying the postgraduate course in piano accompaniment at Birmingham Conservatoire with scholarship.
Tsang is active in performing arts, she participated in concerts as soloist, played ensembles and conducted choirs. Tsang’s other performing experience includes participating in several operatic productions with Opera Hong Kong including Bizet’s Carmen (2006), Gound’s Romen & Juliet (2007), Verdi’s Aida (2007), Don Carlo (2008) and Puccini’s La Boheme (2010). She also sung as a soloist in 2008 Olympic Equestrian Exhibition opening ceremony and also participated in several concerts, such as the opening scene as second lady in Mozart’s Magic Flute in 2009.
In 2015 winter, Tsang was invited in Malta Mdina Cathedral Contemporary Art Biennale to give a duo recital. In the coming season, she will perform in the production of Stephen Sondheim’s Into the woods JR presented by Opera Hong Kong.
